Terms & Conditions
Welcome to Lindsey's Doggy Daycare! We want all of our guests to have a fun, safe, and stress-free stay with us. To ensure the safety and happiness of all dogs in our care, we have a few simple, friendly terms and conditions. Please read through them before booking.
1. Health & Vaccinations (UK Standards)
The health and safety of all dogs is our absolute priority. We operate in line with local council licensing requirements:
- Up-to-Date Vaccinations: All dogs must be fully vaccinated against Distemper, Infectious Canine Hepatitis, Canine Parvovirus, and Leptospirosis. You will need to show us your dog's vaccination card before their first stay.
- Kennel Cough: We highly recommend (and may require depending on license guidelines) that your dog receives the Kennel Cough nasal vaccination at least 14 days prior to their stay.
- Flea & Worming: All dogs must be fully up-to-date with active flea and worming treatments.
- General Health: If your dog is showing any signs of illness (such as coughing, sneezing, vomiting, diarrhoea, or lethargy), please do not bring them to daycare/boarding. We cannot accept dogs with active contagious conditions.
2. Neutering & Spaying
Because we care for dogs in a social, group home environment, we have a strict policy on neutering:
- Male Dogs: Male dogs aged 9–12 months or older must be neutered. We cannot accept unneutered adult males due to hormone-driven group dynamics and safety.
- Female Dogs: Unspayed female dogs are welcome; however, we absolutely cannot accept female dogs while they are in season (heat) or expected to come into season during their stay.
3. Temperament, Trial Sessions & Socialisation
We are a cage-free, home boarding and daycare service, which means dogs interact and share space together throughout the day.
- Trial Sessions: All new dogs must complete a free "meet and greet" and a short trial session to ensure they are comfortable in our home environment and get along well with us and other dogs.
- Behavior & No Aggression: For the safety of all guests, dogs must show absolutely no signs of aggression towards people or other dogs. We cannot accept dogs that show aggressive behavior or severe resource guarding.
4. Emergency Medical Care Consent
We treat every dog like our own, but in the unlikely event that your dog becomes unwell or has an accident:
- We will contact you immediately using your emergency contact details.
- If emergency veterinary attention is required, we will take your dog to our registered vet (or the nearest emergency vet).
- By booking, you authorise us to seek veterinary care if necessary. Any veterinary fees incurred during your dog's stay are the sole responsibility of the owner.
5. Bookings, Payments & Cancellations
- Early Bookings: Early bookings are strongly advised, especially for peak holiday seasons and weekends, as spaces are strictly limited under our local authority licence.
- Cancellations: We ask that you give us as much notice as possible for cancellations so we can offer the slot to another dog. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice may be subject to a cancellation charge.
6. Food & Personal Belongings
- Food: To prevent stomach upsets, please supply your dog's regular food in clearly labeled containers or bags, with exact feeding instructions.
- Belongings: You are welcome to bring your dog's favorite toy, blanket, or bed to help them settle in, though we have plenty of cosy spots and clean beds here. We cannot be held responsible for any items damaged during play.
7. Photos & Social Media
- Consent for Media Use: We love sharing daily photo and video updates of our happy guests on our Facebook page and website. By booking with us, you agree that we may take and use photos/videos of your dog for these purposes.
- Opt-Out Option: If you prefer that your dog's photos/videos are not shared publicly on social media or our website, please let us know during booking so we can note this on their care file.
If you have any questions about these terms, please contact us directly — we're always happy to chat through details!
